In 2008 I received a certificate in dog training from Animal Behavior College. During my tenure as an assistant trainer and trainer with the area’s most well known training group, I returned to school, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Canisius College in Animal Behavior, Ecology and Conservation in 2013. While at Canisius, I interned in the Canine Behavior and Training department at the SPCA serving Erie County. Upon graduation the internship became a staff position as a Behavior Assistant.

In 2016 I became the lead trainer for the ‘Pups at the Pen’ program, a joint venture between the SPCA and Erie County Correctional Facility.  The inmates receive dogs from the SPCA  for a six week intensive training program.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

I employ research-based methods in accordance with how animals learn. My methods are in alignment with the Humane Hierarchy and LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive) protocols.

My attitude toward training is nonjudgemental and compassionate. Because of my  experience and familiarity with the many training methods available, I can explain why some of them work well, while others do not.

I hope you will consider having me help you with your training needs!
